Hey diddle diddle!

Hey y'all! I'm back and so soon! What a glorious day it is for my blog's reputation.

I just bought an amazing living social deal!

$385 (Pay $100), $500 (Pay $125), or $675 (Pay $170) to Spend on Designer Clothing at Apartstyle.com!

For those of you who don't know living social, it's a website that hosts daily deals, saving you a lot of money on local eateries, spas, boutiques, websites, etc. There are other similar websites, such as Groupon and Daily Deals--all you need to do is sign up and spend! So far I've used the sites to get great deals on gym memberships, shopping sites, and however much off on food at certain places. It's pretty great.

The deal I bought right now is for clothes at apartstyle. I never heard of the place but after a quick look at their stuff, I knew that it'd be worth it. The clothes look great!

Check out the deal HERE!

I can't wait to get some nice pieces for spring. If NY weren't so bipolar with the weather lately, I wouldn't have to cover up so much all the time. Lets all hope for a speedy transition! Til next time!

  2. I purchased the following deal at the $170 level: Admittedly, we have a certain wariness about having other people dress us; a feeling that stems primarily from the sartorial atrocities committed against us by our mother in the late '80s and early '90s. But having the international style professionals at APARTSTYLE.com pick out great stuff from their private showroom for you? At a 75% discount? Let the fashion healing begin! Choose from three different deals: $100 for $385, $125 for $500, or $170 for $675 to spend on merchandise from APART's private stash of designer threads. That means you can get one, two, or three full outfits, plus, you'll have one of APART's personal stylists help you pick them out. Style is priceless, but with this fashionable deal, it's affordable too. Mom, we forgive you.

My main issue with the deal is that it was never explicitly stated that the inventory that I would be able to choose from would be extremely limited. When I arrived, I had an extremely limited selection, and nowhere prior to purchase was it mentioned that shoes and accessories were off limits. Also, the space where Apartstyle is located is AWFUL. IT IS NOT A STORE. It is a loft space without an adequate changing room. So when you are trying on the clothes, you have to change in a corner with rice paper walls and must use a slanted mirror which distorts the way you look in the clothes. Also, when I first arrived, I wasn't introduced to a stylist. I was told to browse the limited selection and that was it!! I did have a "stylist" eventually help me after she saw me wandering around for 15 min without a clue of what to do. Mind you, she stopped assisting me after we tried on 3 outfits and one only worked out.

Livingsocial: you need to give more details about what the deals enable your customers to buy. The description makes it seem like a stylist is going to work with you to find three great outfits, but what ended up happening is that I ended up taking pieces because they fit...not because they made great outfits or is what I wanted.
